A Girl’s Guide To Packing For A Backpacking Trip Around Europe

A Girl’s Guide To Packing For A Backpacking Trip Around Europe

Regardless of whether you’re interrailing or road tripping, going alone, with a friend or a partner this list will be super useful to you if you’re planning on taking a trip around Europe. If you are unsure as to whether you should or not, all I can say is please go, you will not regret it. The beauty about Europe is that there is such a great contrast of landscapes, culture and architecture in such close proximity – you can get from Berlin to Prague in just 3 hours and from Lake Bled to Zagreb in only 2, the opportunities really are endless with so many incredible places just waiting to be explored right at your doorstep.

Because of the diversity of the locations though, you could be sun bathing in Croatia one day, and hiking up the Swiss Alps the next. However great this is (and it really is great), packing can resultantly become quite the task and your backpack may become rather full, rather quickly. That’s where I thought I could help… the list below should  help shed some light on what to pack and hopefully make the whole process of packing a whole lot easier for you.

Just before we get started, my golden rule for packing is to pack as though you’re travelling for just 1 week (even if you’re travelling for 7). Whether you’re staying in hotels, hostels or campsites – facilities to wash your clothes will often be present, and if not – as long as there’s hot running water and you’ve packed detergent you’ll be absolutely fine and as fresh as a daisy for the entirety of your trip.

The list:

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Love always, Naomi x
